Brisbane inspections: common questions
Do I need a separate pest inspection in Brisbane, or is it included?
We carry out a combined building and pest inspection. The building side follows AS 4349.1 and the timber pest side follows AS 4349.3. Given Brisbane's subtropical termite pressure, we'd rarely recommend skipping the timber pest component on a detached home.
How quickly will I get my report?
We aim to have your written report back within 24 hours of the inspection. It's a clear, plain-English document that separates the significant issues from ordinary age and wear, with photos.
Can you tell if a renovation or addition was approved?
We can't issue a planning or compliance ruling, but we'll flag additions, enclosed under-house areas and altered structures that look un-permitted or non-compliant so you can follow up with council or the agent before settling. This is a common issue on older Brisbane homes.
